Many adults have carried this trait throughout their lives since childhood. It could be a character trait that you can't change. It is possible that you are still putting off responding to text messages or calling people back. You may be always late to work or for other reasons. If these actions are negatively impacting your life, it may be indicative of an adult add. Refraining from doing things can lead to anxiety and depression or even burnout.

5. You have a difficult time Staying Organized

You may think that your procrastination issues from high school have gone, but these habits can linger into adulthood. For instance, if you often discover yourself unable to locate things or putting items in places where others can see it could be an indication that you need to work on your organization skills. Also, if you find yourself always hitting snooze on your alarm and then forgetting to ensure that the family cat is fed, or you are continually putting off completing assignments that are due soon until they're right up against the deadline, these behaviours could be indicative of adult ADHD.
